When parents enroll their children in CHCS, they are asked to volunteer at the school. Each household is asked to spend at least 15 hours per school year which means 5 per trimester volunteering. Remember Open House and Report Card Night are mandatory and so do not count towards volunteer hours. This is in place for one reason: we believe that parental involvement in the school benefits all enrolled children. If you have any difficulties meeting these requirements please contact the principal to discuss.
Hours can be earned in various ways:
- Monthly community service project
- Lunch/Recess supervision
- Dismissal Help
- Serving as a class parent
- Administrative/secretarial tasks e.g. making copies
- Field trip chaperone
- Beyond the Fence chaperone
- Attending PTO meetings
- Attending Coffee & Conversations
Please fill out the background clearance form. You can also complete this form at the school. You can turn it in to the school and we will submit it to the Chatt Hills Police Department without cost to families.
